# Electric Hot-Water Heating Package

An integrated electric heat source for oilfield tank coils, radiator circuits and circulating-water heating.

Equipment Overview

## More than a heater. A coordinated heat-supply package.

This skid-mounted electric circulation heating system combines an electric heater, circulating pump, make-up water tank and control cabinet on a common base. Heated water leaves the skid, delivers heat through tank coils or radiators, and returns for reheating.

In tank-coil service, water circulates through the equipment while oil remains inside the tank. We configure heating power, pump flow, piping and controls around your external circuit, installation space and available electrical supply.

Package shown. Final equipment and interfaces follow the project specification.

### Circulating heat supply

Supply and return water serves an external heating circuit.

### Heater, pump & tank

Heating and circulation equipment assembled on one base.

### Coordinated controls

Temperature, pump operation, flow and water level reviewed together.

Applications & Operating Conditions

## Bring heat to the load. Return water to the skid.

The connected tank coils, radiators and heating branches determine the required heat duty, supply temperature, circulation flow and pump head.

### Oil storage tank coils

Hot water transfers heat through coils to help maintain stored-oil temperature.

### Well-site tank heating

A packaged heat source for single-well tanks with compatible water circuits.

### Sites with limited fuel gas

An electric alternative where fuel availability is limited and site power is suitable.

### Radiators & circuit upgrades

Heated water for compatible facility radiators or existing heating-circuit retrofits.

Engineering & Integration

## Match the heat source to the whole circuit.

A heater alone does not establish a working heat-supply system. The pump must circulate sufficient water, the external coils or radiators must transfer the required heat, and the controls must coordinate temperature, flow and water level.

After releasing heat, return water is reheated on the skid. The make-up tank supports replenishment; expansion, venting and pressure protection are selected for the final circuit arrangement. Equipment selection also considers water quality, scaling, insulation and winter freeze protection.

- Pump flow and head based on the heater, piping, valves and coil resistance.
- Tank inventory, warm-up time and operating heat demand reviewed separately.
- Supply / return flanges, electrical feed and site signals defined before manufacture.
- Heater, pump, piping, valves, instruments and controls coordinated within the agreed scope.

01

### Supply-temperature control

Supply-water temperature feedback regulates heat input against the circuit setpoint.

02

### Pump & heater sequencing

Circulation is established before heating; stop and cooldown sequences follow the agreed design.

03

### Low-flow & low-level protection

Insufficient circulation or water level inhibits heating and initiates an alarm or shutdown.

04

### Independent protection

High-limit temperature, pump overload and electrical-fault trips complement normal control.

Selection Support

## From operating conditions to a practical equipment review.

Start with the heating demand of the connected tanks or radiators. Final selection reviews warm-up time, supply / return temperatures, circulation flow, distribution losses, coil capacity and pump head.

### What to share with our team.

Send your circuit schematic, coil or radiator data and equipment specification. The heat carried by circulating water is only part of the review; it does not establish tank warm-up duty, coil capacity or the pump head required by your circuit.

### Common engineering questions.

How is this different from a circulation heater alone?

A circulation heater is the heating component. This electric heating skid adds the circulating pump, make-up water tank, piping and controls needed to serve an external heating circuit. Buyers may also describe it as a packaged hot-water heating skid or an electric circulation heating unit.

Does crude oil circulate through this skid?

In the tank-coil arrangement described here, water circulates through the skid and the storage tank coils; the oil remains in the tank. Direct crude oil heating and oil-water-gas process heating are different duties and require a separate equipment selection.

How are the circulating pump flow and head selected?

Pump flow is matched to the required heat transport and the permitted supply-to-return temperature difference. Pump head is determined from the heater, external piping, valves and coil resistance. Static head and suction conditions also need review according to the circuit arrangement.

Can it replace a gas-fired tank heating system?

It can be evaluated as an electric alternative where a suitable water circuit and sufficient electrical capacity are available. Selection must check the existing coil duty, site power supply and operating schedule. Energy cost depends on local electricity and fuel prices, so savings are assessed for each project.

Do you manufacture electric heating skids in China?

Yes. XGTHERMAL is a China-based manufacturer of skid-mounted electric heating systems for oilfield applications. We support package configuration, coordinated controls, fabrication and project documentation for domestic and overseas customers.

What certification documents can be supported?

Project documentation can be prepared around IEC 60079 / GB/T 3836 hazardous-area requirements, NDT, material certificates, FAT records and, where required, project-specific ATEX, IECEx, EAC or JIP33 alignment discussions.
