Wellhead heat retention
Supplies local heat where the wellhead installation needs protection from ambient cooling.
Compact electric heating for localized heat retention around oilfield wellhead equipment.
The Explosion-Proof Wellhead Heater is a compact electric heater for localized heating and heat retention around oilfield wellhead equipment. Its fully sealed, die-cast aluminum enclosure is designed for exposed oilfield environments involving oil, water and wind-blown sand.
Manufactured by XGTHERMAL in China, the heater uses a thermal-balance operating principle that does not rely on a separate electronic temperature-control component. The external silicone-rubber cable is heat-resistant, oil-resistant and aging-resistant. Supplied mounting components support straightforward installation and removal.
Discuss Your Requirements
Compact heating assembly for wellhead equipment.
Die-cast construction with silicone-rubber supply cable.
Heat generation and dissipation reach an installation-dependent equilibrium.
This compact heater provides local heat retention. It is not an in-line process heater for bulk crude oil or gas heating, a heat-tracing cable system, or a complete wellhead winterization package.
Supplies local heat where the wellhead installation needs protection from ambient cooling.
The fully sealed die-cast aluminum enclosure is a defining feature of this local heater.
Silicone-rubber cable provides heat, oil and aging resistance for the external electrical connection.
Sealed construction is intended for sites exposed to oil, water and sand within the unit’s rated limits.
Supplied mounting components support straightforward installation and removal at the wellhead.
The fully sealed die-cast aluminum enclosure houses the heating assembly. Its structural design contributes to explosion protection and ingress protection; the applicable ratings must be checked for the selected model. External silicone-rubber cabling and supplied mounting components support straightforward installation and removal.
As the heater temperature rises, heat dissipation increases until a dynamic thermal equilibrium is established under the applicable installation and operating conditions. Temperature then stabilizes at that balance. This is not a claim of a universal fixed temperature or immunity to overheating.
The heater’s thermal-balance operation does not rely on a separate electronic temperature-control component.
The equilibrium temperature depends on the installation and operating conditions; it is not an adjustable electronic temperature setpoint.
Install and connect the heater in accordance with the selected model’s instructions and normal site electrical requirements.
Request the applicable datasheet, installation instructions and certification documents for the selected model before confirming hazardous-area suitability.
Published values are reference information. Request the applicable model datasheet, installation instructions and certification documents before procurement.

Provide the installation, available power supply, site conditions and quantity to help identify the appropriate model and supporting documents.
Share photographs or drawings of the intended installation and relevant dimensions. Selection is based on localized heat retention and the model’s installation conditions; a flowing-liquid heat-duty calculator does not apply.
It is a compact electric heater for localized heating and heat retention around oilfield wellhead equipment. It is not a complete wellhead winterization package or an electric heat-tracing cable system.
No. This product provides localized wellhead heat retention, not bulk temperature rise of a flowing production stream. In-line and circulation process heaters serve a different duty.
As the heater temperature rises, heat dissipation increases until a dynamic thermal equilibrium is established under the applicable installation and operating conditions. Temperature stabilizes at that balance; the equilibrium is not a universal fixed temperature.
The heater’s thermal-balance operation does not rely on a separate electronic temperature-control component. This does not mean the heater can never overheat or that electronic controls are inherently unsafe. Follow the selected model’s operating and installation instructions.
Please provide quantity, an application description, installation photographs or drawings, relevant dimensions, available power supply, ambient/site conditions, hazardous-area requirements and required documentation.
